RTev, I am somewhere in the middle on this one.

Some businesses will spend their entire systems budget on consultants to come in and fix most/all of their y2k problems while other companies will just replace entire systems.

So MSFT and the larger sofware businesses may benefit in some instances but lose in others.

I am going 50/50 on the effects.
