what did they mean "software" being hit hard? i thought software is combatting y2k issues. sorry, i don't quite get it. could you elaborate?

I thought bottom for ORCL would be 23. Hysteria here, panic selling.
And the shorts are having their day,week and month & unfortunately
I am not short, but very long.
MANU looks interesting here and is being touted for a technical
rebound on Doug R's thread. But I think TA & FA can be thrown out
with Y2K madness, wonder if December will be like this for the whole
market?
edit Seems MANU with todays lower lows is NOT meeting the TA standards
for a rebound.
