Excellent point - I was surprised that they didn't also.

Intel has been making NOISE about eliminating legacy hardware and what do they do? They ENDORSE the old parallel port.

USB's have been on most PCs for about 3 or 4 years. However, I think Windows 95 OSR2 is required to support it as well as Windows 98.

Myabe the software support issue pushed them to the parallel port approach.
