,, Nasdaq Confirms SPEEDUS.COM's Compliance with
Listing Requirements

PR Newswire - April 08, 1999 08:15

NEW YORK, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- SPEEDUS.COM (Nasdaq: SPDE) today announced that
Nasdaq has confirmed the Company's compliance with Nasdaq's final listing requirement and
determined to continue the listing of the Company's securities on the Nasdaq National Market.

The Company had agreed to make a public filing on or before March 31, 1999 with the Securities and
Exchange Commission and Nasdaq of a February 28, 1999 balance sheet evidencing a minimum
amount of net tangible assets which, in the opinion of Nasdaq, would allow the Company to maintain
long term compliance with the Nasdaq's minimum net tangible asset requirement. The February 28,
1999 balance sheet filed by the Company was in compliance with Nasdaq's requirement.

The Panel's decision is subject to review by the Nasdaq Listing and Hearing Review Council until 45
days after the issuance of a written decision.

SPEEDUS.COM has initiated a SPEED pilot service and is connecting its first Internet subscribers.
The SPEED service requires the purchase and installation of the SPEED modem. The SPEED
modems are currently only available from the Company for $350. The Company plans to arrange
financing for the cost of the SPEED modem to consumers and to increase its signal coverage area
before commencing a major marketing campaign. Increased signal coverage through additional Internet
Broadcast Stations is crucial to widespread availability of the SPEED service.

SPEEDUS.COM, Inc. is a facilities based provider of Internet Broadband Broadcast services in
Metro New York, the worlds largest telecommunications market. The Company's FCC license allows,
among other things, the broadcast of its super high SPEED Internet service in the New York
Metropolitan area with a population of 8.6 million people. SPEEDUS.COM also provides standard
direct dial-up and ISDN service with web hosting and e-mail value-added Internet services.

Hi Paul & DW,

This thread had been so quiet recently that I hadn't been checking it on a regular basis. My understanding is that the company meets all the requirements for listing with the possible exception of outside directors and that issue is being addressed. The rest takes time. With listing, and more importantly orders, this stock could fly. Video is coming in a big way and term "convergence" is being heard more often. Still speculative, but I do like the odds. Nice base being formed reminding me of the end of last year and movement, when it comes, should be decisive. In January I kept waiting for a pull back that never came.

Hadn't heard of FVCX before, but hope to spend some more time in researching this whole sector. There will be more than one winner and quite a few losers. The only thing I'm sure of is that this sector will be "hot" and it will be volatile.
