Gary, maybe I am missing something here. I don't day trade but in doing position trades on the NASDAQ [when I'm willing to pay the ask or sell at the bid] I hit the NASDAQ button [market for price] as long as 1000 shares or more are showing I always get filled in literally 2 to 3 seconds at the ask [or bid] that was there when I hit the button, every time.
