Agreed. I am new to Informix, but it looks like they are taking on somewhat different characteristics than traditional Oracle and Sybase...it appears management is extremely aggressive and focusing on delivering a net savvy business.

But look at earnings. $25M profit last qtr. This stock's PE (assuming no earnings growth this year) is 12. I'd be buying, and I did today at 6 7/8.

I'm in agreement, to some extent.

ORCL, PSFT and SAP are screwing the entire software sector for good and bad, but probably only temporarily.

IFMX has been hit to some degree, but to a very large extent it exists in its own little world while the street tries to decide if last quarter's news was a fluke or a real recovery.

Positive earnings and a good CC could provide a lot of ammo to those people who are looking for a turnaround. IFMX is trading at a slight discount to ORCL's multiple and ORCL is in the toilet. If they can show that top line growth is BETTER, then the stock will do nicely.
