I have to use Schwab's broker to trade my Keogh and IRA. I think it is regulation. I know the Gov does not want you on margin in these accounts.

Mr. DownSouth,

Try waterhouse, they let you trade in your Roth account and it's 12.95 per trade.

Thank You

JK

I am about to open a Roth IRA for my son and one for my daughter. I have been using Schwab for my IRA. Schwab will not allow online trades for Roth IRAs. Can anyone give me some insight on this--is this the result of a regulation, or do other online brokers allow trades in Roth accounts?

Yes, they lied to you. My wife and I both have Roth IRAs at Schwab and we can trade online. I know nothing more about it than that.
