Judy,

Early this morning I thought I heard something about a filing to sell 2 million shares of AOL by a large company, but I came into the radio report late, and I never heard the name of the company. That had to be the order to sell at the close.

Steve

Yesterday there was a broad sell off of tech shares that covered both the Internets and blue chip type techs like MSFT and AOL. This nervous money moved into Dow type of stocks. Many of the stocks that partially recovered yesterday were taken back down this morning to their yesterday's low where they bounced. YHOO may have helped this bounce today. Still, I see this as a weak tech market right now. I have not liked what I have been seeing over the last three days including today. Today just look at the NASDAQ index while the DJIA continued on to new highs. Some tech stocks like YHOO have broken through daily support. Others have already validated their previous high on the daily chart in a significant way.

Still, this is a very short term picture of the market I am looking at right now based on the price action of various stocks and indices. I still think there is an underlying bullish sentiment. If the market does not break down today through significant daily support, I think that bullish sentiment will remain intact. Perhaps the bounce that validated the lows put in yesterday will follow through today or tomorrow. The pullback in the market today was predictable. I just did not expect it to start at the open like it did. The NASDAQ market continues to look waek to me.

Just my opinion of course. Comments welcome.
