MileHigh, To support your point, even if Rambus continues to innovate, the PC memory replacement technology could come completely out of left field. Laser-based holographic memory, for example (okay, okay, a wild example, but an example). Rambus, while it has a leg up on any competition, cannot cover all bases, and the next industry change may replace DRAM with something completely different, not just an evolution of it. Dave <edit> Just read coving's posts. Exactly the right point. But it still won't just "appear" and we'll have time to move out of Rambus if necessary.
