Just wondering like everyone else what could be causing this wholesale slowdown in orders among these companies (claimed by most, so if even half of them are actually observing this?). Did I grossly underestimate the Y2K thing or is maybe the economy slowing down? tim

I agree that software companies are being destroyed before our very eyes. To your list I could add ASDV, ITWO, AXNT, BMCS, BAANF, JDEC, JDAS, CTAP ..... The list is endless.

As for NETA losing market share - the real data that I have concerns data from Symantec (from the last quarter). SYMC grew their Corporate sales 43% from the previous quarter. From the first quarter of 99, IBM's salesmen have quotas for Symantec products. If you want more details, I will need more time to collect the data.

I have been getting a lot of anecdotal evidence that ISSX and Trend Micro have been gaining at NETA's expense. Apparently, ISSX has been raiding NETA's best salespeople. The stock prices of these two companies probably confirms that they are growing fast.

BTW, the number of lawsuits alleging fraud is up to six.

I hope that you are out of this stock since the next few weeks could still be painful. I am getting tempted to scoop some up here. Or maybe I'll buy some leaps when their premiums reflect a climax of pessimism (if the stock does not bounce soon, the premiums will be significantly lower).
