I have a friend who is an engineer for Palm Computing who is working on the Palm VII. I have had a chance to play with his prototype (which has been functional since before the new year) and it is AWESOME!!! There is a bright future for handheld computing, and Palm is positioned with a good market share, and is still ahead of the curve in this market. It is unfortunate that even if it is a runaway success, it will have difficulty having a substantial effect on the earnings per share. However, market psychology about the company could change when the public/investors see how awesome the Palm VII is. If I do enter this stock, it will be very shortly before the Palm VII is available. Erik
