Actually mutual fund cash inflows have dropped sharply this year. But the percentage going into index funds probably has soared.

These divergences (not to mention valuations for the internauts and big caps) are far worse than we saw in 1973 -- the start of a huge bear market. The timing is as always uncertain, but this has got to end very badly. Will be amazed if the Dow is above 7000 by October.

Interesting that the XOI was flat today as OSX plunged 5%.
