I think Geoffrey would classify aol as a King, due to their market share in the isp/content provider sector. We've had a number of discussions about it on the thread, and due to the "stickyness" of their service, they may have some Gorillalike characteristics. So let's think of a King with a full beard and long hair <g>.

As to why it keeps going up, it may be because they have been making a number of strategic moves, as in the acquisition of nscp, the alliances with sunw/cbs/etc., and have a lot of high p/e stock with which to buy more good stuff. Bottom line, they keep going up because everyone wants in, but those that hold it are reluctant to sell; it's really that simple.

I'm not going to try to justify a p/e >600, but I am enjoying the ride <vbg>.

I have a question about AOL. I've been perplexed by its strength. It's like energizer bunny, keeps going and going..

I am up 600% on this turkey! I can't figure it out either. I sold my cost, and am letting the profit run. It is the best stock I have owned since Dell.

In Moore's Book, it is a King.
