Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) 16 3/16 +7/16: chip maker is warning that it sees Q1 revenue below estimates; blames ongoing yield problems with K6-2 and pricing pressures for weaker results; sees revenues at around $630 mln; according to First Call, AMD is projected to lose $0.57 a share, vs year-ago loss of $0.60 a share;

Jim, Don't be so hard on AMD, they are doing "OK" considering what they are up against. They make Intel a better company as well. I disagree about AMD doing OK. OK would be making "some" money consistently. I don't think AMD could be called a very good runnerup to a gorilla or a king. In fact, according to the book "Gorilla Game", they aren't even a chimp, but a monkey. Some good runnersup: Lucent or Nortel to Cisco Sun to Microsoft (stretching) Compaq to Dell/Dell to Compaq Tony
