The Xact acquisition cost the company about 1M in cash and they
are hiring their engineers. How is that going to depress earnings
for a couple of years?

<< The Xact acquisition will depress earnings for a couple of years because they're not going to take a big bath, as indicated by the 1 penny charge >>

I must have misunderstood on the call. Explain that please.

Mike

The Xact acquisition will depress earnings for a couple of years because they're not going to take a big bath, as indicated by the 1 penny charge.

On the conference call Ron or Dick indicated that the XAct acquisition would cost a little over $1 million. That will hardly saddle WIND for years.

Key words, tentatively and if. >>>The U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board tentatively decided Wednesday if a
company re-prices employee stock
options, it must record the difference between the new re-priced stock option price and
the price at which the stock is trading
as compensation expense.

The board's proposal is an interpretation of a rule on options that dates back to 1973 and is
known as A.P.B. 25. The
interpretation, if made effective, would apply to companies who re-priced options after
Dec. 15, 1998.<<<

Even at current levels, WIND has made a HUGE up-move since 1994...looks like next support level is around $8...

hmmmmmmmmmmm

Maybe with the uncertainty out of the way, it actually will not be too bloody tomorrow....considering the stock fell apart a few months ago and now has been cut in half again since then, today's news actually doesn't sound tooooooooo bad....

I don't expect $8 tomorrow, but it could happen soon...

In this market, best to buy momentum...SCH, EGRP, AMTD are MONSTERS !!!!!!!!! Why play with PTEC when you can invest in those babies and make 10-20% A DAY ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Jimbo.
