Because AMD claimed many times in the past the Kmart-7 would be the fastest x86 on the planet. They clearly stated it would be faster than ANYTHING Intel would ship in the same timeframe. They have now backed down from that claim and recent leaks use the words "disappointing" and "underwhelming" when describing Kmart7 performance. Admittedly these may be early parts but if so that contradicts the claims of imminent production.

So far the meager reports aren't living up to the foils. I'm shocked...
