This is now. But soon DSL vs Cable would become a religious fight like Apple vs. PC. I think DSL is going to win because it will have more company offering it, more competition means better pricing. Speed is not the only issue. Just like standard modem goes from 300bps to 56k now - technology can evolve.

Yes, I agree it's important to provide all of the facts, otherwise a person could make the incorrect purchase decision.

The statement, "cable is the fraction of the cost of DSL" is not a universal fact, and in some cases it's unfortunately, using your words, "intellectually-dishonest."
