BVF have total 1.84 M shares (from 98 10K), so what they are selling is 2/3 of newly registered shares after private finance. They helped, and they will have quick ~100% profit (as demand for shares increase). The worse are others who are selling all holding.

The table in the S-3 describes holdings assuming shares purchased in the offering are sold. It does not mean that they are going to be sold any time soon, only that they can potentially be sold at any time without any restrictions or further filings.
