JF2155, you are wrong. eBay's run will not be over for at least 5 years from now. So far eBay's fundamental didn't change for worse, in fact it keeps getting better. Keenan Vision Inc predicted that Auction market will grow from the current 3.8 Billion to 128 Billion in 2003, that means eBay will at least multiply 10 times before it take a rest. My worry doesn't mean I feel bad about the company's fundamental. eBay's management may have already known they must diversify, otherwise they would not propose to increase the number of shares 5 times more to make preparation for acquisition and expansion. I feel the VP may not want to share everything at this stage with Motley Fool people. I hope my worry will be unfounded, they will do something fabulous.

No matter what, you must realize that auction market is and will be the most lucrative market in e-commerce. AMZN probably needs to worry more about their bottomline than eBay does. The next step for eBay to go is obviously business to person and business to business sales.
