Blue, Beethoven is my favorite composer. Outside of his feeble attempt at opera, there is music to suit my every mood. But to me, his most entrancing pieces come from either his themes and variations. One of the ways I immerse myself in Beethoven is his Eroica variations followed by the Eroica symphony. I never tire of that simple melody raised to a pinnacle of musical brilliance that simply takes my breath away. I don't want to be soothed. I want to be caught up in the man's passion. I don't want to be intellectual. I want pure emotional energy. TTFN, CTC
