Did GCTY actually beat estimates ? The number of shares outstanding increased very significantly and therefore the EPS figure did not appear so bad ( larger losses divided by many more shares). I don't know what analysts were looking for in terms of operating losses. Listening to YHOO's conference call I did not hear a single question from the analysts regarding GCTY's operating losses. So maybe you are correct in stating that GCTY beat the street estimates.

Will YHOO restate their financial results for the past year to reflect the inclusion GCTY ? With the reporting of the second quarter results for the combined entity of YHOO and GCTY it will be impossible to compare YHOO's second quarter 1998 without GCTY and YHOO's second quarter 1999 including GCTY.
