Dear Dale, I do not mind if you post here! I am curious why you would go to the trouble to post messages about a company that you do not like. You must like the net!

It is an effort for me to follow a thread and a company. It requires time and patience. Often, I get fed up with the entire experience.

Obviously, you have the time and energy to post.

I wondered if you ever got fed up with it.

Sincerely,

Mephisto

I've got it ..... you think you've seen fancy footwork before .....

This has already happened .....

(1) Microsoft has already announced that unreleased Windows NT 5.0 will be renamed Windows 2000

(2) Microsoft has already announced that when Windows 2000 is released, it will integrate the features of Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT into one operating system for all users called Windows 2000

(3) Microsoft announced (yesterday, April 7, 1999) that a new unnamed operating system will be announced in the fall of 1999 that will be an upgrade of Windows 95 and Windows 98, but will not include Windows NT

Ken predicts that .....

(1) Sometime during the summer, Microsoft will release the next test version of what was supposed to be called Windows 2000 ..... but they will call it Windows NT 5.0

(2) Sometime during the fall, Microsoft will release the upgrade to Windows 95 and Windows 98 (they will need the new revenues at this point) ..... but they will call it Windows 2000 ..... even though it will not include Windows NT. This will be the day that Microsoft common stock starts to head south.

(3) Shortly thereafter, Microsoft will announce a further delay in the final release of Windows NT 5.0 - "we need to get it right," they will say. This is the date their stock price will really start plunging.

(4) Sometime in the year 2000, Microsoft will finally release Windows NT 5.0 - the question is ..... will anyone really care ..... the features presently available from Novell will not be included until Windows NT 6.0 (to be called Windows 2002) is released in the fall of 2001.

shouldn't all of you pay me for such thoughtful and brilliant analysis
