Its partly a space issue. Primarily (or so I thought) its an attempt at simplicity. My reasoning was to have one install each of Diskeeper and BE that would service both the primary NT drive and the scsi drive automatically overnite. Some well behaved programs could be installed on one drive and executed from another. If a program is 'self contained' it would not be a problem. You can execute a program with the run option. Notepad..wordpad..spreadsheets? would probably work fine. A backup program by its nature looks to other drives. It may work. You may be able to install it in a KOT boot and then use the run command from NT to execute and configure the program. You may be asking for trouble. My inclination would be to install and execute from the same boot drive..If you want to avoid the extra evening boot IMO it would be best to install to the primary NT drive. When you run out of space get a bigger drive:) No, I installed a new NT on the scsi and then installed TA right there. Truth be told, I didn't think of installing from primary nt. I did want total isolation. I think thats what I got. How do you access NT on the SCSI drive? Is it an option in the NT OS loader or do you access from the bios? Zeuspaul

Proves you're younger than I am--I like to see results <g>. Seriously, if the process doesn't give you tangible results, it's not worth the powder to blow it to hell.
