re: Gasoline prices. If the "peak" is $1.18 in May, then bring it on. We Left-Coasters are getting the shaft. My latest gas receipt (4-5-99) from a BP Oil station is $1.359/gallon for the cheapest grade of unleaded (87 octane). Premium unleaded was $1.499 at the same station. This is self-serve, too. And to think that I was paying $0.909/gal and even $0.899/gal just a month or so ago.

Everyone blames it on the Tosco refinery shutdown in California. I dunno, I think it's a conspiracy. :-).

WOW; some very interesting posts/news items/commentary this a.m. !

Talk about a convergence of the OSX's selloff & positive news !

ie: the warnings of Y2k refinery shortages, very positive news indicating strong OPEC compliance, revisions on API #'s in their forecasting and a biggie - the depletion story that hasn't received proper emphasis - a biggie !

Factor in another quarter, or two of virtually no domestic production/drilling activity - and the natural gas market is looking like a rubber band beginning to tear... the potential pent up demand for rigs utilization just keeps building. I can't figure out why more Independants do not take advantage of low dayrates and lock in some good equipment and people, right here - right now...?

Yes; BigBrassBull (I think you use the short name version here) I agree that indeed; we may just be entering the ''last chance, last dance'' phase.... I like that term by the way - last chance - last dance! ---> yes, that moniker has legs...

damn; I'm praying for RIG @ $20 and that FLC blows off - C'Mon $5; going to put that speculative/trading/risk oriented money full throttle into this baby. The more I think about it and after analyzing their debt payment schedule and especially given their industry leading upside leverage to shallow water Natural Gas drilling in the GOM - if you're gonna dance --- and have a last chance; then why not take a cheap date (VBG) - plus, I hear FLC is ''easy''.....

PS....hey Razor; since Michael is gone; why not use some of that $800 Bulls Ticket Moolah that you probably aren't going to be spending this year (who ya gonna watch - Kukoc ?) and buy some FLC calls if she tanks to $5 ???
