Nationwide Tour

Business Editors
COMDEX Spring 99

WOODBRIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1999--

Showcase Kicks Off at Spring COMDEX With Discover IT
Keynote Address by BellSouth Wireless Data President and CEO

BellSouth Wireless Data and its partners are showcasing the most advanced
wireless enterprise computing solutions available today at top trade venues
across the country - beginning with this month's Spring COMDEX show April
19-22 in Chicago - through its "1999 Wireless Enterprise Solutions Tour."

As part of the kickoff for the nationwide, five-event tour, BellSouth
Wireless Data president and CEO William F. Lenahan will serve as the keynote
speaker on Monday, April 19, at the COMDEX Discover IT Wireless & Mobile
Showcase.

BellSouth Wireless Data and wireless industry leaders Research In Motion
Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM), Infowave, Dynamic Mobile Data and GoAmerica
will demonstrate the latest wireless enterprise solutions for interactive
paging, accessing corporate e-mail, web based applications and information
and application development tools and services. Visitors to the exhibit at
the COMDEX/Spring Discover IT Wireless & Mobile Showcase (Booth No. W1215)
will experience live product demos and see a host of real-world customer
applications, all of which are enabled on the nationwide BellSouth
Intelligent Wireless Network(SM).

"The 1999 Wireless Enterprise Solutions Tour offers a first-hand
demonstration that advanced wireless data solutions for the enterprise are no
longer just a promise - they are a reality," Lenahan said. "The products and
services that we and our strategic partners are demonstrating at Spring
COMDEX and at other stops on the tour are just a sampling of the gamut of
what is available today for enterprises that want to wirelessly enable large
segments of their workforces easily and cost-effectively."

The 1999 Wireless Enterprise Solutions Tour will feature the following:

-- BellSouth Wireless Data will demonstrate the BellSouth Interactive
Paging(SM) Service, which allows members of work groups, mobile
professionals, working parents and others to send and respond to messages in
seconds rather than minutes via Internet e-mail and other pagers, and send
messages to fax machines and telephones via the RIM Inter@ctive(TM) Pager
950, a wearable, hand-held device with a full keyboard. There also will be
demonstrations of BellSouth Powertool(TM) Software, an integrated application
development environment that provides a simple but powerful framework to
create solutions for devices, such as the RIM Inter@ctive Pager 950, using
the BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network.

-- RIM will demonstrate the BlackBerry(TM) mobile email solution for
Microsoft Exchange users. BlackBerry is the first complete, secure,
integrated, wireless email solution for the mobile professional that gives
Microsoft Exchange users untethered access to their corporate email wherever
they go. The BlackBerry solution includes the BlackBerry Handheld with
integrated email/organizer software, PC docking cradle, innovative desktop
software, and single mailbox integration with Microsoft Exchange.

-- Infowave will display the Infowave Office Enabler (IOE) solution, which
enables enterprise users to send and receive Microsoft Exchange-based e-mail
from Microsoft(R) Windows(R) and Windows CE-based portable devices or
laptops.

-- Dynamic Mobile Data will demonstrate the Mobile Server, which enables the
RIM Inter@ctive Pager 950 to query SQL and MAPI-based applications. The
Mobile server solution includes software to build custom forms that the
end-user can fill out on the Inter@ctive Pager for their requests.
-- GoAmerica Communications will exhibit its Web@Hand(TM) portfolio of
wireless E-mail, corporate intranet and Internet applications, including the
Go.Web(TM) nationwide service for real-time access to Internet information on
a variety of hand-held devices.

After COMDEX/Spring, the Wireless Enterprise Solutions Tour will be featured
at the following events: PC Expo, June 22-24 in New York City; the PDA Forum,
August 10-13, also in New York City; the Microsoft Exchange Conference,
October 4-6 in Atlanta; Wireless IT '99, November 2-4, in Santa Clara. For

computing and communications. Among the highlights of Lenahan's speech will
be an overview of the current wireless data market landscape and the
emergence of the interactive market segment.
