What are the chances of getting an IPO when a member of ETrade? Doesn't sound too good. Are there any ways to get in front of the line?

Bob, I've thought about you in the last few days in this crazy run-up that we've had--I sincerely hope that you weren't short. I've never tried to get an IPO, although I could kick myself for not trying to get a piece of eBay last year! I've just been too distracted by work to go to the bother of applying. I did notice that some folks on the Yahoo and RB EGRP threads got shares of VUSA, so somebody is getting them. I wonder, if you're giving them thousands of dollars in commissions, whether you shouldn't call one of their customer service reps and state your frustration--you'd think that they would respond. Anyway, good luck. I still sort of agree with you that this stock has out-run itself for the time being, but I thought that at 60. I never dreamed it would get to 85 so quickly, and I won't be surprised to see it pull back a bit, particularly if its quarterly report isn't absolutely a blow-out. If it is, though, God knows where we'll end up, particularly if they announce a split, which I suspect is pretty likely.

Re: no luck on the VUSA IPO. Hi R.D.! It may have depended on what the time-stamp on your IOI was. If you have time you can read the posts last night on the Value America thread, (VUSA), where members posted their times and results.
