I remember being envious of your long position on another stock... but I can't remember which one. A DSL or cable company maybe. I have wanted to figure out that sector and failed.

Bingo...

You've understood the true meaning of life....! Too many forces against you when you're short. Too much stress IMO. Too little against you when you're long (unless you happen to pick something like psft, the stock almost invariably bounces back )

I remember the amount. Have you recovered thru your long/short profits ?
