It is a shame that the White House security and public relations
people would hide the the handful (I mean you count them with your
fingers) of protesters from the visiting contingent from China. The
West side of Lafayette park is closed off and the protesters are two blocks away, away from the views of these visitors. The entrance
to the white house is covered with white sheet to shield the visitor
from what? this beautiful weather we're having? Are the Americans
leaders any different from their counterparts in Beijing in
suppressing dissent? Off course we don't send troops out and tanks to
control the protesters, but what happened to our beliefs of fighting
for the helpless, giving the underdog the chance? I don't have a tv
(is there media coverage?) so I hope that protesters are active to let this Mr. Rinji know that Americans are conscious to world events and
are not so isolated.
