At what point do these.. (definers) consolidate?

Won't (the end)(no bubble) be the few and mighty ?

~ aol/yahoo - at a recent investor conference i talked about how desktop value is shifting to the web and that aol and yahoo to me are more definers of what the future looks like than microsoft is at this point

another analysis i did recently showed that the 50 stocks in isdex, if you added up the market capitalization of all of them, was equal to that of only one firm, microsoft

since then internet stocks have run up 50% or so but where does the bubble really lie? with an industry changing your life in every way or with one company? both are valuable to me and microsoft is a web player but 50 companies to 1?~

Thanks, Mike
