No. it's not. Paul can probably recite you a roadmap.

64 bit is targeted at the high end where Intel is just getting a beach head, and once there it will attempt to apply a similar economy of scale to the high end.

I understand your argument dumbmoney, but I still am not unhappy that Intel is taking this on at this time, even though the wait has been somewhat painful. My investment timeframe on this company is extremely long though , much greater than 5 years.

Also, there are some credible reports coming out that the K7, the most visible threat to Intel, may not be the giant killer the press makes it out to be, due to a variety of factors. Perhaps all our worst fears will be unfounded, and Intel's next response, the Coppermine, will compete just fine with the K7.
