Nice things day it is. I think I am not making any more new pain, I am just dealing with the old pain. I don't have the "being eaten alive" feeling anymore. That's nice. It's a beautiful day, very sun-shiny but cool, I have the windows and doors open. That's nice. I can walk up and down the stairs ok, and once I log off, I am going to start cleaning house and rearranging furniture (my mother finally moved out, and we have three more rooms now). That's nice. Ben has strep throat, and is home from school (contagious), but is feeling ok, so the dog has someone to keep her company and give her the attention she likes, and I like having him around, too. That's nice. I am going to Linens-n-Things to buy new stuff for the kitchen, new tablecloth, new curtains, new rugs, new dishtowels, new drain rack, new laundry baskets. My mother would throw mine away and substitute what she liked, and I just surrendered. Now I don't have to engage in a power struggle over dish towels and drain racks. That's nice. I just had a nice bowl of oatmeal with raisins. How 'bout you?
