Well yes, but if they lock down the systems after testing and dont change for an year or two, what is the use of buying new stuff? The Y2K problem here is, when will the lockdowns come out. Unlike the ERP sector problem where the money to buy fancy stuff is less, here we haev a problem of they dont want to buy cause they cant not use it for now. I think CHKP's report will give a good idea of where in the security sector money is still being spent. they came and said firewall sales were brisk and I can understand that. Its a stand alone unit at your door and VPN sales were brisk which is also a stand alone unit at the door. can neta improve their products enough to compate? dont think it matters since CHKP and AXNT are small enough that the sales would not matter as much enough to make up for the rest of the losses.
