Bmind, In other words even the CEO suggest BCST and GCTY will have a negative impact on earnings in the next few quarters. Even after that, note that he did not say "have a positive effect on EPS, just earnings". What he really meant, I will not speculate on only to observe that when it takes time to go from negative effect on earnings to positive effect on EPS and that one would expect a transitory stage when there is a positive effect on earnings but a negative effect on EPS. If they are going to have a Billion in earnings in some year in the near future they are going to have to have one phenomenal quarter or two. We all know that if this happens YHOO 's stock will more than double so that the chances of justifying its price by any reasonable valuation models will be even more remote.
