Hi everyone. I've been doing some research (DD) on ADPT. The price of it is way above the guidelines for this thread, but it looks promising, so I'll post my findings here first. Here goes: Link for Yahoo profile biz.yahoo.com Link for Yahoo Research biz.yahoo.com - notice they went through a bad spell due to soft Hard Drive sales in the industry and therefore the boards to support the drives stopped selling too. Link for last Quarterly report biz.yahoo.com They look like they are starting to turn around. This quarter will be critical. Press release stating they are expanding sales in China biz.yahoo.com Press release of upgrade from BancBoston Robertson Stephens biz.yahoo.com PR of informing of Collaboration with NYSE:STM on SCSI development biz.yahoo.com PR announcing a new Disaster Recover Program using CD-R/RW drives biz.yahoo.com PR of First to market on 64-bit/66MHz Ultra160/m SCSI Technology biz.yahoo.com I'm told that this is faster than currently can be utilized, but I figure better to be ahead of the curve so updates later not needed. Also, many product sales are dependent on new equipment sales by computer manufacturers. Apple whisper numbers are for 0.62 with consensus of 0.56 -- nice! Many blue G3 boxes get Adaptec parts put into them according to the Customer Service people at Adaptec. CPQ, Compaq whisper numbers are to meet earnings - good. I feel that ADPT is about to announce a better than whisper quarter. Over the last two days I have gotten some ADPT stock. I am in at $23.375 avg. It is a good place to get them. I was thinking anything under $24.50 was good, this was better. You can split the spread (I did 3 times), fairly easily. They are in a slight dip. Check the daily charts. There is time to load up before the earnings announcement on April 29. This date is on their web site: www.adaptec.com Check them out! Do some DD. I think this baby is WAY undervalued today, but won't be after early May. I'm placing it here first to give you guys a first look.
