Scumbria,

If it's going to take each generation of AMD chips 5 years to reach pricing parody with Intel's chip you might as well sell everything now.. cause it just ain't gonna happen.

Regards,

Steve

AMD opened down a little over a point from its close yesterday, up about a half of a point on the day. If it does not drop like a stone from these levels, it could actually close almost even or up on the day. The worst may already be out. It all depends on on what those lemmings called "ANALYTS" believe. It could take several days for things to actually settle down.

Regards,

DARBES

Scubria Re <<So how do you explain the fact that not a single OEM ships an AMD based business system?>>

Both Compaq and Toshiba ship AMD based notebooks. Compaq should follow by a desktop system soon.

Re << Honda took many years to reach price parity with American cars. K6 has been shipping for less than 2 years.>>

Bad analogy, a 2 year old computer is "older" than a 5 year old car. AMD does not have 5 years to catch up. The expansion into the business market is well under way.
