On the surface, at least, it is not; however, the market has the capability to see whatever news that is released whichever way it wants to. Further, a lot depends on the product mix, speed bin mix, and the perception of management's credibility (generally poor, right now).

On a relative basis, given the very bad news from AMD, and the general weakness in the tech sector, iNTEL's action though proportionately better than AMD's has too be seen, so far as bad in relationship to that of AMD. I am not taking too much encouragement from this, however, the optimists for AMD stock seem to always be early and later action tends to be erosive

That's good news, of course. What's bad news is the ~1.08mm CPUs in Jan & Feb, along with the ~$78 asp. We're getting a sickening loss per share here.

The question remains: what next(?)...and prove it.

We all lose as consumers if they don't pull out of this swoon.
