Boy you quys like to confuse me. How does one define most popular stock to own. Volume of trades??? But for every buyer there is a seller and visa versa, so a truely popular stock to own would be one where alot of people want to buy but no one wants to sell so it wouldn't trade much at all.....
Now that I know what a wash is, a box and a jitney house heres one for you. Years ago at the coffee shop a fellow game in and said he had just made a "Hail Mary Trade." He only had a bit of cash in his account was itching to get in on a play but didnt want to sell or trade any shares so he bought a hundred shares of the stock in question. We fiquered it out and with brokerage in and out the stock would have to go up over 300% just for him to break even.
regards Walt
