* In the UK, the Bank of England cut interest rates by 25 basis
points. Investors reacted positively to the news, boosting the FTSE100
higher by 0.16% to 6483.7. In the rest of Europe, markets are treading
water as traders await the European Central Bank's decision on interest rates.
