Chaz:

The initial problem was that Mike Buckley led off his posts on this thread dealing with Qualcomm and telecom equip more generally with references to Chaz which is my handle on other boards and threads. I had been trying to stimulate interest on his AOL Gorilla board in the Fool's Library in telecom equip and even set up a Gorilla Game at his request almost a year ago - May 22, 1998 with Qualcomm as half weight in that portfolio on Mike's AOL board..

That is history.

Now what to do here.

I recognized your seniority here so took the name Chaz too on this thread to try to avoid confusion here.

Hopefully we will not be confused with each other often. When that does happen, I suggest one or the other of us clarify that misunderstanding.

I recognize you have made major contributions to this thread which I respect. Wish you well.

Since I seem to have started here on the wrong foot, I apologize to you and others for any problem that created. Uncle Frank however has been gracious in letting that be history. I in turn have agreed to say nothing, zilch nada re the Wintel duo, Intel and Microsoft. I will honor that.

Best personal regards and again apologies to you for any pain I may have caused you. I will do my best to keep responsibility as Chaz too to Chaz too so that you will not be blamed (or otherwise) for any post of mine on this thread.

Chaz too

No problem distinguishing between Chaz and ChazToo, Chaz; your portfolio distinguishes you quite nicely <g>. And I agree that msft is no longer a hot growth stock; it's just a solid, sure thing - great bedrock to base a portfolio on, imo.

Re the ties between qcom, msft, and intc, they are clearly appearing, but I am not qualified to describe or evaluate them. Perhaps someone can take up that task, and we can "cheat off the smart guy" <g>.
