A few points I consider in evaluating companies prospectively: ROIC and CCC. These metrics give you an indication of how efficiently the company manages its fixed assets, and how efficiently it manages its current assets. Of the 11 telecom and networking stocks I follow Cisco came in with the best CCC at 70 days, and the second best ROIC of 62.3% (behind LU's 76.7%). Had you looked at IBM 10 years ago these metrics would have been horrible. TTFN, CTC
