AFCI is very near it's 52 week low, just coming off the bottom of the chart, with a new CEO who has great turnaround experience with ADC...

Revenues in his division @ ADC grew from $10 million in 1995 to $200 million last year!!!! Also has extensive contacts with the Bells, his customers at ADC, so the takeover rumors may be right on...

Schofield is president of ADC's Integrated Solutions Group, which provides turnkey telecommunications systems to a wide variety of customers, ranging from giant Baby Bell telephone companies to upstart competitive local exchange carriers.

Under Schofield's leadership, the division grew explosively over the last three years, from $10 million in revenues in 1995 to $200 million last year. The division employed 1,450 workers last December, with operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

"He grew it from a non-existing entity to a fairly successful business. He has a track record of executing a business plan,'' said George Notter, an analyst with Dain Rauscher Wessels in Minneapolis. "I think he will be an asset for the company.''
