i concur--H O L D!!!

earlier poster said any upside surprise in earnings was already
built into the stock. twasn't true $12 ago & probably still
not built in. while i personally won't be surprised with
"earn surprise (i sat the last one out, expecting it!?!?!?!?)
imho if it does beat expectations it will soar (at least
temporarily) 2nd consecutive positive quarter will confirm
that this co has the formula down. amtd is a long way from
getting the respect other net broker stocks are getting--not
sure of pe multiple in relation to others...anyone?
i like this industry. stock trading is so cut and dried.
why would anyone continue to pay merrill $65 for a simple
trade. in this "era" there are a handful of mega-stocks
that outperform. i don't need merrill to tell me to buy
msft aol etc.

To Big E: With the stunner from Houston arriving
on our doorsteps after the Bell we should see a
nice sell-off on Monday morning on the DAQ. This
may send AMTD back under the 110 dollar threshold.
If she retraces into this area I"ll be buying when
everyone's cryin. This will be the FINAL chance
to secure AMTD at somewhat lower prices prior to
earnings. Good Luck and thank goodness for the
jokers at Compaq!!!
