Aw, c'mon, Jay, tell us what you REALLY think! LOL.

I mostly agree with you, but I'm not too sure I want Yahoo to start being the "protector of truth" on its chat lines. I don't spend much time (or any, usually) on Yahoo, but I don't want them to censure posts for accuracy. To me, that's one of the great things about the net -- it is wide open, and the janitor can cuss the CEO if he wants. Like Sam Colt's .44, the net is a great equalizer, and if someone starts to control it "for our own good," we will all lose a lot. IMO.

Naw, I was thinking of CJ Cooper, not his brother, DB. <G> Good catch, amigo.

And, you're right on the money about the media!

good trading, amigo,

jim

Did anyone notice in the WSJ article where they voiced concern for the company or the shareholders? I didn't! And yet the alleged reporter came on the thread yesterday, as if she gave a sh*t what happened to the shareholders??? PLEASE!!! Give me a break!!!!

Yeah! That's what the media is for. To keep us from acting like idiots, and then to fix things when we do.

jas. (no relation to DB)

Jay, 110% right. If it was the "sanctioned" media reporting a buyout rumor it would be considered ok. But since we have an "unsanctioned" outright fake story its not ok.

Of course the Bloomberg copyright infringement puts this into a much different category. Fraud in my opinion. And the SEC looks to be involved. PAIR needs to get behind this too. As I expect it will unnecessarily hinder the stock for a while. And Blomberg is the most important. They need to get on the copyright infringement thing. The person who made the thing up was awful brazen or stupid. I am sure they will be found.

But when you get past all that its just one more example of hype. And the mainstream media does that all day long, every day.
