philip....thanks...

just a reassuring word that what happens today at the open, has happened before...and at times even in the recent past...much, much worse...times like these better to turn off the screen and go to denny's for a grand slam breakfast....

courage of conviction....allows one to accrue wealth....

when things are the darkest...expand your thirty day chart, to a seventy year chart of the dow.....i think you see what i mean...don't let the market take away from you what is yours...good luck, ed a.

Congratulations on not selling anything!!!!Even if it WAS E trade's fault! (VVVVVBG)
Last year on AUG 31st DELL plunged from 120 to 100. I sold some of my shares (although they were "long term hold" shares). I was distraught about it for days and finally had to buy them back more expensive because they were part of my long term plan. Now I know that if you are going to sell you do it on a great up day never on a down day. (Unless of course you have news that indicates the company is falling apart: otherwise news both good and bad creates stock price changes that are temporary only.)
