Good reply, jas. I don't have your level of smarts on 'web-ly' things, so the clues you cite didn't come to mind for me. At least, not until yesterday afternoon, when you began to point them out right here. Even so, while it may take five minutes for a hoaxster to create a pilfered web page, I'll bet it took a lot longer to write the fake news article.

And, I definately agree with you that the reaction is fascinating. A situational psychologist's playground. A couple of us (me included) wanted to believe the story, and made up excuses for how it might be true. Others (like you) saw through the trickery, and tried to warn others. Still others didn't give a damn if it was true or not, they just jumped on the price move and made some bucks. Most interesting, to me, is how angry some people are that they got fooled. Bruised ego, I suppose.

But all in all, it sure was interesting!
