Eddy: the congress doesn't care, the senate doesn't care - I've written individual letters to each and every office; emailed individual letters to each and every one with an email address and/or website. Received generic thank you notes. On this issue and the impeachment issue (my gripe was not about sex - about lying under oath), I had written to them, received the same generic letter and we know how that turned out. They are ON VACATION - RECESS and nothing will interfere with that - not even their obligation to exercise due diligence and enforcement of the US Constitution. They are busy scrambling around drumming up money for their election campaign coffers. It has come down to MONEY. I am involved, am acutely aware of the situation, and also aware that fascism is not an impossibility. I have been reduced to being proud of the principles that founded this country (although I would have preferred not to have the history of slavery nor the killing of the American Indians) BUT realize that they are "idealized propaganda" never to be followed by those in power, but tools to instill a sense of individual autonomy so the masses could be easily controlled. In light of this, it is no wonder we (through the leadership, ie those in power) have regressed to the uncivilized, oppressive behavior we profess to disdain. Any foundation based upon lies is bound to failure. Our domestic policies are increasingly reflective of Animal Farm and our foreign policy is schizophrenic, and the patient refuses therapy. Lethal.
