To all: I just read an article on the UK version of PC magazine highly critical of the Palm V. It claims you can't plug your old peripherals into it when you upgrade say from Palm III.Any comments will be appreciated.

Hi Alan - I recall reading somewhere that 3COM has a palm pilot manufacturing facility in China. Do you know if this is the case? If so, I was trying to find an article that discusses the joint venture terms with the China agency. The premier of China is in the US this week to sign several trade deals (ie. AT&T, BA and others). I wonder if a meeting with 3COM is on his list?

Can anybody contribute information on this? If a manufacturing deal is in the works, it could be very bullish for 3COM in the long term.

EKS

P.S. I was told that modems from the old USRX division are assembled in CHINA at Sin Sin. Also, Nokia has several manufacturing facilities in China and their phone devises are now #1 surpassing Mot, Ericson, and Siemens. Perhaps 3COM needs to look at an alliance with Nokia to assemble and distribute the Palm Pilot in China.

Do we not supply Nokia with some type of Palm technolgy that they incorporate in their phones?
