Christopher,

I disagree with you saying ...Serbia, a nation which for most of this century has been an ally of the United States, fought Hitler when few were there to help them, and have as a people endured more suffering over the centuries than Americans can even conceive could exist in this world. The past bravery of the Serbian people should not be used as a blank cheque for justifying the murderous attitude of its current leadership. Or then, the reverse truth must be that Germans should all be blamed for the misconduct of their parents during WWII!

I suggest that you switch to this link:

<< Short of somebody providing to me proof that we are not in violation of international law, nobody will change my mind. >>

You are being too clinical. I get the picture of a Kosovo child, who hasn't eaten for several days, who has seen his parents murdered, and has little hope for the future, extending his hands towards you for help.

Do we tell the child NO! Do we tell the child that he must die because of a comma missing in the loosely constructed International law books? Hmmmmm!? Perhaps we could try. Perhaps the child will understand.

"Hey kid! Hey kid! It's all OK. Really. It is OK. We know that your parents are dead, and now your other relatives may be killed also, but it is OK! According to International Law, Milosevic has the right to do this."

Hmmmmmmm!? The child doesn't seem to be listening. Hmmmmmm!? Oh! Too bad. The child just died. Oh well. Let's try to convince the next child.
