Two stock brokers on local business radio just responded to a caller who wanted to know which company--Dell or Compaq--to invest in. Both quickly said Compaq. They also mentioned that some investment house (not sure which--Prudential maybe?) has CPQ rated higher than Dell on some sort of single-digit scale. Sorry I couldn't catch all they said, but it sure was timely.

In my humble opinion, Dell stock just doesn't have enough upside potential to suit me, before I get uncomfortable that it is way out of the range of solid fundamentals--just like what happened when Dell shot up to 100 and beyond.

Can anyone help me with a virus. Without any rhyme or reason it opens and shuts my CD draw: then it puts up hate messages which I am required to tick agreement to under threat of losing all my data. Today it warned me that all my hard disk is about to be eliminated (this came after my CD door was opened several times). I ticked "no" but then it brought up all my folders on the screen and played the MSFT start-up music over and over. It appeared to be about to delete the first folder and would not respond to the mouse. So I had to close down by switching off the power.

Has anyone else seen this and what do I do about it. BTW it started the same day as the Melissa Virus but it is obviously not that.
