Jaime: re: european rate cut: 1/2% is 1/4 more than was expected; we can thank lafontaine for resigning. if my take on the german economy is correct,i.e. it's in a sharp downswing combined with deepening deflationary pressures, we may get another 25 bp's cut from the ecb before long.
